- Etta Lassiter-Douglas is the Founder and Chairman of The American Black Cultural World Trade Association, Inc (ABCWTA), a state of Nevada Corporation. ABCWTA is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to facilitate trade between China and minority-owned, small to medium sized businesses. Assisting the Chinese businessmen, investors and manufacturers the opportunity to interface directly with new innovated inspiring entrepreneurs and business owners will enable the Chinese consumer to have direct access to our products, media, entertainment, fashion and tourism.
Etta is an accomplished, producer, writer and event coordinator with many years of concert, trade show and seminar productions. She recently coordinated and planned the Diversity Expo and the Black Music Awards in Las Vegas, NV. She also wrote, as a tribute to the city of Las Vegas, a historical musical, “Another Year”, about the evolution of entertainment in Las Vegas. In addition to all of that, Etta has a sincere interest to use her talents to make an impact on world trade opportunities for American Blacks and other minorities.
I also write, and my fun filled historical musical play has been invited to perform in 5 cities in China, starting September 2009. I am the first American Black Woman to be invited to The People's Republic of China with a musical production.
